About / Made on Merit
The bench is real.
The notes are mine.
Made on Merit is a working field publication. One person studying how service businesses adopt AI from the inside, and publishing what they find as the work happens.

I've been on your side of the table.
I've spent the last decade running service businesses. Building them. Stabilizing them. Getting them through the parts where most owners quit. I've installed roughly fifty systems across teams that were drowning in their own success, and I've watched what works and what doesn't.
Before all that, ten years inside Military Operations. The discipline of plans, contingencies, and after-action reviews shaped how I think about strategy, operations, and tactics. It's the same hierarchy that runs the publication today.
I lost a business once trying to do this the wrong way. I rebuilt the right way. That's where the heavy lifting started, and most of it has stayed quiet because nobody pays for the lessons learned in the dark. Now those lessons get published.
Then I went deep on AI. Not as a hobby. As a builder. I now construct AI platforms for service businesses, and I keep studying the owners I build for, because the AI without the business underneath is fast mediocrity.
The publication is the next chapter of the same work. Field notes from the bench. Studying both sides of the bridge between business and AI.
"This is the publication I would have wanted to read ten years ago."
The work
Two streams. One bench.
From the Business Side
What separates the businesses winning with AI from the rest?
Studying when AI actually pays off in real businesses, and when it just shifts the work to a different desk.
From the AI Side
Where does AI create real business advantages?
Studying the strategy, the operations, the team, the systems. The readiness questions that decide whether AI lands or sits unused.
